4×4 utility atv – need 750 cc?

How many CCs do I need to haul around myself and my wife 2 up on an ATV?

I’m in the market for an ATV, and the dealer keeps telling me “oh you just need the 750 cc”.

I can do it, but I know the dealers full of it and just talking things up.

I like to go offroading and do some fairly intense hill climbing and offroading. I’m looking at 4×4 “sporty” utility ATVs. I’m 6’9″ and 315 lbs. My wife is 115 lbs. Most of the “intense” offroading will be just me myself and I (with others on other vehicles).

How many CC’s should I be looking at? Do I need 750, or might a 500, 600, or 700 do fine?

Thanks!

>>> Id say a 500 or 600 would be plenty to pull you AND the misses up some pretty big hills. 750 is a monster and a bit of overkill IMO. From what i can find a 500cc can TOW 2500 lbs so id say its big enough.  Hope this helps.
